Cookie Policy

Version 2026-08-06 · Effective August 6, 2026

This page lists every cookie and browser storage key Remindr uses. There are no third-party cookies on remindrapp.us — no ad networks, no Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, no session recorders. Everything below is set by us, on our own domain.

Your current choice

You can change your mind at any time — this button reopens the preference panel, and the same control lives in the app under Profile → Settings → Privacy.

The categories

1. Strictly necessary (always on — cannot be switched off)

Without these the site cannot work. They keep you signed in and record the choices you made on this very banner. We do not need consent for these, and they are never used for tracking.

NamePurposeLifetime
remindr_sidYour signed-in session. Without it every page load would log you out.30 days
remindr_consentRemembers which cookie categories you allowed, so we do not ask again and do not exceed your choice.12 months
remindr_themeLocal storage, not a cookie. Remembers whether you chose the dark or light appearance. Set only when you press the theme button, holds no identifier, and is never used for tracking — so it needs no consent.Until you clear your browser data

2. Analytics (off until you allow it)

Our own, first-party usage measurement. It tells us which features get used, whether people finish signing up, and which pages break — nothing more. If you decline, no analytics cookie is set and no analytics row is ever written on the server; the recording is blocked server-side, not just hidden in the browser.

NamePurposeLifetime
remindr_aidA random visitor ID (not linked to your name or email) so a returning visit is not counted as a brand-new person.400 days
remindr_sesA random ID grouping one visit together, so we can measure how long a session lasted.30 minutes of inactivity

What each analytics event stores: the event name, the page path, the referring site, campaign tags (utm_*) if you arrived from a link we shared, device/browser/OS family, screen size, language, time zone, and the two-letter country supplied by Cloudflare's edge. Your IP address is not stored in analytics.

3. Preferences (off until you allow it)

Remembers small comfort settings on this device — the tab you were last on, whether you dismissed a tip, your calendar view. Stored in your browser's local storage, not sent to our server.

NamePurposeLifetime
remindr_uiLast tab, dismissed hints, calendar view.Until you clear your browser data

4. Marketing (off — and currently unused)

Reserved for a future referral or campaign attribution cookie. Remindr sets no marketing cookies today, and if that ever changes this page and the banner will list them before any are set. We will never place third-party advertising trackers on this site.

Things that are not cookies

Blocking cookies yourself

Every browser lets you block or delete cookies in its settings. Blocking the strictly-necessary ones will sign you out and Remindr will not work. Deleting remindr_consent makes the banner appear again on your next visit.
