Version 2026-08-06 · Effective August 6, 2026
Remindr holds some of the most personal material a person has — photos of prescriptions, messages with doctors, receipts, recordings of your own voice. This page says exactly what we collect, what we do with it, who else ever touches it, and how you get it back or get it erased.
The short version. Your memory is yours alone. Every account has its own separate brain — no other user can see it, and it is never pooled with anyone else's. We do not sell your data, we do not run ad networks on you, and nothing you upload is used to train AI models. The only outside companies that ever see your content are the ones needed to run the service, listed below.
Remindr is operated in the United States. Contact: [email protected]. For privacy requests, use the same address with "Privacy request" in the subject.
| Category | What it is | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Account | Email address, password hash (never the password), name and profile picture if you sign in with Google, phone number if you add one, time zone. | To create your account, sign you in, and address messages to you. |
| Your Content | Photos, files, voice recordings and their transcripts, typed notes, reminders, and any message histories you import. | This is the product — it is what your memory is made of. |
| Derived facts | Short structured facts the AI extracts from Your Content (e.g. "package shipped Aug 5, tracking 1Z…"), and your brain file. | So questions can be answered quickly and with sources. |
| Delivery details | Email addresses and phone numbers you send reminders to, and the send/failure log for each. | To deliver reminders, and to enforce the anti-spam cap on unverified recipients. |
| Device & push | Push notification subscription tokens, browser and device type, screen size, language. | To deliver notifications and render the app correctly. |
| Security log | Sign-ins, setting changes, uploads, deletions — with time and IP address. | Security, abuse investigation, and your own Activity tab. This is essential and is kept regardless of cookie choices. |
| Analytics | Pages viewed, features used, referrer, campaign tags, approximate country, device type, session length. | Only if you accept analytics cookies. Used to see what parts of the app people actually use. See the Cookie Policy. |
| Consent record | Which version of the Terms you accepted, when, from which IP, and your cookie choices. | Legal proof of consent. Required. |
We do not collect precise GPS location. We do not read your device's contacts, camera roll, or messages by ourselves — everything in Remindr got there because you sent it, either by taking a photo in the app, recording a memo, or uploading a file or export.
When you add a photo, memo or import, its contents are sent over an encrypted connection to our AI provider (Anthropic, in the United States) to be read, described and turned into facts. When you ask your brain a question, the question plus the relevant stored facts and summaries are sent the same way to produce the answer.
Anthropic processes this on our behalf as a service provider under its commercial API terms: content sent through the API is not used to train models, and it is not retained for Anthropic's own purposes beyond what is needed to return the response and meet its abuse-monitoring obligations.
The assistant is also bound by a rule we built into it: it ignores anything that appears legally sensitive or incriminating and will not repeat, summarize or act on it. See section 5 of the Terms.
| Provider | What they handle | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Anthropic | AI reading of your content and answering your questions | USA |
| Cloudflare | DNS, the encrypted tunnel to our server, and R2 object storage where your uploaded photos and files are kept | USA / global edge |
| Only if you choose "Continue with Google" — verifies who you are and gives us your email, name and picture. Google does not receive your content. | USA | |
| SignalWire | Delivers text-message reminders and sign-in codes. Receives the phone number and the message text. | USA |
| Email provider (SMTP) | Delivers verification and reminder emails. Receives the email address and the message text. | USA |
That is the complete list. We do not use advertising networks, data brokers, session recorders, or third-party analytics products such as Google Analytics or Meta Pixel. We have never sold or shared personal information for money or for cross-context behavioural advertising, and we will not.
We will disclose data if we are legally compelled by valid legal process, or to protect someone's safety. Where we are permitted to, we will tell you first.

Wherever you live, we give every user the same rights:
To exercise any of these, email [email protected]. We respond within 30 days. If you are in the EU/UK you also have the right to complain to your data protection authority; if you are in California you may use an authorized agent.
Because Remindr stores conversations and photos, it inevitably contains information about other people — your doctor, your contractor, whoever texted you. You are responsible for handling that respectfully and lawfully. We process it only to provide the service to you, we never build profiles of those people, and we never contact them except to deliver a reminder you explicitly addressed to them.
Remindr does not set a minimum age, but it is not designed or marketed for children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If a young person uses Remindr, a parent or guardian should set the account up and stay involved. A parent or guardian can email [email protected] at any time to see what is stored for their child, correct it, or have it deleted — we act on those requests within 30 days.
Remindr operates in the United States. If you use it from elsewhere, your data is transferred to and processed in the US under appropriate safeguards.
If we change this policy materially, we bump the version above and ask you to review it the next time you sign in. Prior versions are available on request.
